Hextable’s Osteopath

Jason Cook has practised at a number of clinics over the years from Westerham to Chelmsford, and as Lead Osteopath at Essex’s longest-running practice in Stanford-le-Hope. Having trained partly under the Hextable Osteopath founder Graham Smith he works hard to maintain the high standard of care that the clinic’s patients appreciate.

He works with his patients to resolve their problems using what he describes as a ‘common-sense’ functional osteopathic approach, aiming to bring noticeable improvement quickly and to help them return to normal activity as quickly as the body will allow.

Jason’s patients are ‘typical’ osteopathic patients, being people from all walks of life whether working-age, retired or students, who are seeking help with a range of musculoskeletal and other health issues to enable them to carry on with their lives as normal, continue in their jobs, manage their pain, or resume their leisure interests, sports and hobbies.

He is experienced in assisting patients with their post-surgical rehabilitation following hip and knee replacements, spinal surgery, rotator cuff repairs and shoulder decompression, and helping them to achieve positive assessments from their surgeons at their final post-surgical reviews.

His friendly, down-to-earth nature and communication in plain English ensure a relaxed clinical experience while your physical problems are tackled and your questions and concerns answered.

What Patients Say

Working from home during Covid aggravated an old injury and caused me to seek out professional help to address back and neck pain.  The treatment I received from Jason Cook has been nothing short of professional and extremely effective.

He is welcoming, friendly and very knowledgeable: I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the osteopathic services of the practice – in fact, I have already done so to some of my friends and they have been delighted with the treatment and results they have received.

Definitely a 5-star osteopathy clinic.

I was recommended Jason when my current Osteopath moved away.  I have been having treatment now since spring 2021 and I have been very pleased with the progress made.

I was having lower back problems and by seeing Jason for regular treatment my back has really improved.

I can highly recommend Jason.  He is friendly and professional and very thorough and there is never any pressure to see him more regularly than I feel I need.

I went to see Jason suffering with sciatica thinking I had pulled my lower back again.  After an initial assessment and some manipulation, he was able to say that my back was OK but I would need a course of treatment to quiet down a muscle spasm in the piriformis muscle in the left gluteal area.

After a few weeks of treatment and exercises to do at home I was able to walk and sit without constant shooting pain.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Jason to friends or family if they were unfortunate enough to be in need of his skills.

I have been using Jason’s osteopathic services since he took over the practise earlier this year (2021).  He is friendly and approachable.  When discussing the issue, he asks questions to clarify, explains in detail the treatment plan, and suggests exercises to help after treatment.

Overall, he is professional, polite and I would have no hesitation in recommending him

Jason treated me in June and July of this year (2021), following ongoing issues with a trapped nerve in my neck/shoulder from an old horse-riding injury.  Following all necessary COVID-19 precautions I found him to be both personable and professional; the perfect mix of making a person feel at ease while in a position of relative discomfort.

Within days, my symptoms had eased, meaning I only needed one treatment but because of the efficacy and relief he provided I went back a second time for a different, unrelated dancing injury which has plagued me for a number of years.  Again, Jason seems to have had the magic touch and symptoms have significantly improved with his expert knowledge and guidance.

Thoroughly Recommended!

One of the first things my consultant advised when I opted to have my knee replacement was to ensure I had arrangements in place for rehabilitation well in advance of surgery. Thankfully I had already worked with Jason and immediately scheduled appointments with him starting just five days after the surgery.

This benefited in so many ways, not only the physical help with my rehabilitation, but meeting regularly with someone so knowledgeable who could answer questions and give me confidence and reassurance.

I am sure this same experience would translate equally to many other post-operative recoveries or injuries, and strongly recommend making Jason part of that recovery process.

Jason was recommended by my previous osteopath before he moved away.  He is a highly skilled and empathetic practitioner whose treatments have really improved my quality of life.

I started seeing Jason due to low back pain which restricted everyday movement and greatly impacted my quality of life. He assessed the problem and with regular sessions was able to ease and correct it.

He works in a caring and professional manner, always explaining what he is doing and how it will improve the situation, which provided me with confidence and hope after each session.

I am extremely grateful for the osteopathic healing abilities of Jason and would not hesitate in recommending him to anyone.

I have been receiving treatment from Jason for several months.  I go every 6-8 weeks and my back has improved significantly through the various techniques he uses.  I have 19 month-old twin boys so I do a lot of lifting and carrying so seeing Jason regularly has really helped.

Jason is extremely professional and makes you feel at ease.  He offers advice and exercises to improve your condition.  I would thoroughly recommend Jason if you are seeking treatment.
